If you have seen Free the Sheep's ads, you have probably seen three garments: the Eden Hoodie, the newer Eden Pocket Hoodie and the Vanta High Collar Cloak. Two of them are floor-length hooded capes lined in faux fur, the same kind of garment as Enfold. This page puts them side by side using each brand's own published details, including the places where theirs is the better choice.
The three Free the Sheep pieces, briefly
- Eden Hoodie. $199.99 USD. A hooded, open-sided, faux-fur-lined cape, sold by height in five adult sizes plus Mini and Kids.
- Eden Pocket Hoodie. $200 USD. The Eden shape with a faux-fur-lined front pocket added, in five adult height sizes.
- Vanta High Collar Cloak. $85 USD on their site in October 2026, marked down from $200. An oversized cloak with a tall collar you wear up or fold down, in S to XL, in black only.

When a Free the Sheep piece is the better buy
You are over 6'3". Their 6'2"–6'5" and 6'6"+ sizes reach the ankle on tall people. Enfold is one size and lands at the lower shin above about 6'3". Our height guide shows exactly where.
You want a pocket. The Eden Pocket Hoodie has one. Enfold does not.
You are buying for a child. They make Mini and Kids sizes. Enfold is adult-only.
You want a coat-like cloak to wear out, and you want to spend less. At its current $85, the Vanta costs less than Enfold. It is a different garment: sized S to XL, built around a high collar rather than a deep hood, and meant to be seen in. If that is the look you are after, it is the honest recommendation.
When Enfold is the better buy
Price, for the floor-length cape. Against the Eden Hoodie or the Pocket Hoodie, the difference covers a second Enfold for someone else.
Buying a gift. Height sizing is easy for yourself and a guess for someone else. One size, cut for the range most adults fall in, removes the guess.
Warmth that stays in. There is no slit and no opening down the front, so warm air does not leave every time you move your arms.
Free returns. A floor-length garment is heavy to post. Ours goes back without a postage bill.
What to check before you buy any of them
- Length from the shoulder, not the top of the hood. The hood adds inches that never reach the floor.
- Whether the front opens. A pull-over front holds heat. A front zip or wrap lets it out.
- Who pays for a return. On a $200 garment, a paid return is a meaningful cost.
- Care. Faux fur linings should stay out of a hot tumble dryer. If a listing does not say how to wash it, ask first.
